About Me

I am a PhD candidate in political science and graduate student research assistant at the University of California, Irvine. My research interests include political violence, peace building, conflict resolution, and transitional justice. My past research projects deal with the relationship between political violence and voter behavior on issues of peace in Colombia, along with the ongoing process of implementing conflict resolution and transitional justice mechanisms. My dissertation thesis examines the relationship between local peacebuilding actors in Colombia and international organizations, and critiques state-centric systems of analysis prevalent in International Relations Theory.
